—Digital forensic is the study of scientifically proven methods that results in the identification, preservation, collection, validation, analysis, interpretation, documentation and presentation of digital evidence . Just like computer forensics, digital forensic is also a very wide branch. Different tools, techniques, frameworks and models have been presented to study the basics of digital forensics. The focus of this research is to study different models and the steps that have been proposed by the authors in order to implement these models, the steps that are involved in the investigation process and finally make a comparative study that which of the model is the best among them.
